Description

  • Manage daily risk management activities to protect the financial integrity and operational resilience of the clearinghouse across all listed asset classes.
  • Respond to regulatory requests, audits, and inquiries from governing bodies such as the CFTC, NFA, and SEC.
  • Oversee end-of-day settlement pricing and ensure the accuracy of cross-asset pricing data used for margin calculations and default management.
  • Review and manage the risk components of client onboarding while monitoring market, credit, and liquidity risk on an ongoing basis.
  • Drive new product listing and product design from a clearing perspective, ensuring appropriate risk controls and cross-margining efficiencies.
  • Lead the design and implementation of margin models and default management or liquidation strategies for the Clearing House.
  • Step in to support clearing members during operational issues and clearing-related incidents.
  • Perform quantitative research to evaluate default management procedures and systemic risk exposure.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in clearinghouse risk, default management, operations, or a related field.
  • Experience with a CCP is strongly preferred.
  • A degree or higher in a quantitative discipline.
  • CFA or FRM is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of equities, commodity products, futures, perpetuals, and other derivatives.
  • Robust knowledge of pricing, valuation, funding rates, and cross-asset risk correlation.
  • Solid understanding of margin concepts, liquidations, and default management frameworks.
  • Direct trading experience, personal or professional, is required.
  • Familiarity with CFTC, NFA, and SEC regulations as they apply to clearinghouses and DCO rules is strongly preferred.
  • Deep familiarity with clearing house rulebooks, policies, and submission procedures.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to think critically and drive continuous improvement.
