Description

  • Help define and refine software development practices for the team.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with strong observability and resilience.
  • Coach and support junior engineers to help them take on larger epics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define product vision and scope.
  • Work with Management, Product Engineering, and Operations to plan and forecast quarterly goals.
  • Own the full software development lifecycle from requirements and design through testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Contribute across the full stack to advance Cribl Cloud initiatives.
  • Share on-call responsibilities and participate in a service-ownership operating model.
  • Support technical leadership for architectural changes, testing automation, and continuous deployment improvements.

Requirements

  • Strong ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable full-stack code in Node.js/TypeScript.
  • Experience in large-scale, highly available distributed systems and SaaS environments.
  • Experience building resilient, scalable backend services on a major cloud provider, preferably AWS.
  • Experience developing secure and intuitive RESTful APIs and interfaces.
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, Linux, and distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of secure web development practices, troubleshooting complex workflows, and performance tuning.
  • Experience using assertion frameworks and tools such as Mocha, Cypress, and Jest for regression testing.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
  • Experience with cloud design patterns and serverless/Lambda implementations.
  • Experience implementing authentication and authorization for internal and external users.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and learn quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality software.
  • Willingness to participate in stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties.
  • Preferred: experience leading technical vision for identity management and secure identity protocols.
