Description

  • Engage directly with clients to gather requirements and advise on appropriate solution architectures.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to align solution design with client needs and product roadmaps.
  • Work with Delivery Managers to oversee the architecture approach during solution deployment and ensure implementations meet client expectations and company standards.
  • Define, socialise, and support product and enterprise roadmaps to align technical solutions with business initiatives.
  • Evaluate, specify, and select off-the-shelf, open-source, PaaS, and SaaS components to meet client requirements.
  • Explore alternatives and design creative, scalable, and highly available cloud-based solutions, including API- and microservices-centric architectures.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients throughout the implementation process and manage client relationships.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve solution designs and delivery approaches.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in solution architecture design and delivery within the insurance vertical with exposure to multiple lines of business.
  • Experience delivering cloud-based technology or product solutions in enterprise environments, with emphasis on AWS and/or GCP.
  • Proven ability to translate client requirements into actionable solution architectures and assist in defining/socialising product or enterprise roadmaps.
  • Experience designing for high availability and scalability, and working with relational databases and NoSQL environments.
  • Experience designing API- and microservices-centric environments.
  • Exposure to authentication and authorization concepts (SSO, SAML integration, identity federation).
  • Familiarity with or experience of low-code platforms (preferred); experience with multiple development languages and various DB engines is advantageous.
  • Certification in an architecture discipline (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.) and/or a cloud certification is a distinct advantage.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, relationship-management, decision-making and communication skills, with high proficiency in English.
  • Understanding of insurance business processes across areas and at least two lines of business; ability to build value propositions, solution documents and business cases for corporate clients.
