Description

  • Provide oversight of the end-to-end testing lifecycle across multiple teams and projects.
  • Define, enforce, and continuously improve QA processes, procedures, standards, tools, and test coverage.
  • Establish scalable test infrastructure and extend testing into performance, security, and compliance domains.
  • Identify quality gaps and cross-team risks through trend analysis and quality metrics.
  • Deliver executive-level QA reports, dashboards, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Manage and mentor QA Leads and senior contributors, including goal setting, workload distribution, and performance reviews.
  • Build a culture of ownership, accountability, excellence, and quality awareness across the organization.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and business analysts to shape requirements and testing strategies.
  • Review software requirements, design documents, and system architecture to ensure testing is addressed early.
  • Oversee defect triage and improve automated testing and regression frameworks for reliability and scalability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of software QA experience across manual and automated testing of web and API applications.
  • At least 2+ years of direct management experience leading QA Leads, senior engineers, or a multi-team QA function.
  • Experience in insurance or another similarly regulated, complex industry is a strong plus.
  • Proven experience establishing QA processes, tooling, and standards organization-wide.
  • Experience presenting quality metrics and insights to executive leadership.
  • Deep understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes across the full testing lifecycle.
  • Experience building and scaling automated testing frameworks in an agile environment.
  • Deep understanding of BDD and Gherkin.
  • Hands-on familiarity with tools such as Jest, Mocha, JMeter, Cypress, Selenium, Puppeteer, NUnit, Cucumber, Telerik, Specflow, or similar, including CI integration.
  • Strong experience with defect tracking and test management tooling.
  • Working knowledge of performance, security, and compliance testing.
  • Practical experience building and rolling out AI-powered processes across teams or workflows.
