Description

  • Provide oversight of the testing lifecycle across multiple teams and projects, defining and enforcing QA processes and standardizing tools and test coverage.
  • Establish and continuously refine QA processes, procedures, and standards for testing products before release.
  • Ensure scalable test infrastructure and extend testing into performance, security, and compliance domains.
  • Identify systemic quality gaps, analyze quality metrics, and anticipate risks to release stability and timelines.
  • Resolve QA workflow blockers while balancing delivery trade-offs and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Deliver executive-level QA reports, dashboards, and strategic recommendations to the Head of QA and leadership.
  • Manage and mentor QA Leads and senior individual contributors, including succession planning and technical leadership development.
  • Distribute workload, set goals, and conduct performance reviews across the QA function.
  • Drive continuous performance improvement, resolve conflicts, and build a culture of ownership and accountability.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and business analysts on requirements, testing strategies, and defect triage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software QA across manual and automated testing of web and API applications.
  • At least 2+ years of direct management experience leading QA Leads, senior engineers, or a multi-team QA function.
  • Experience in insurance or another similarly regulated, complex industry is a strong plus.
  • Proven track record of establishing QA processes, tooling, and standards organization-wide.
  • Experience preparing executive-level quality reporting and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Deep understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes across the full testing lifecycle.
  • Experience scaling automated testing frameworks in an agile environment, with strong knowledge of BDD and Gherkin.
  • Hands-on familiarity with JavaScript and .NET testing tools such as Jest, Mocha, JMeter, Cypress, Selenium, Puppeteer, NUnit, Cucumber, Telerik, Specflow, or similar, and CI integration.
  • Working knowledge of performance, security, and compliance testing domains.
  • Practical experience building and rolling out AI-powered processes across teams or workflows.
