Description

  • Provide oversight of the testing lifecycle across multiple teams and projects.
  • Define, enforce, and continuously improve QA processes, procedures, and standards.
  • Standardize tools, environments, and test coverage across the organization.
  • Extend testing capabilities into performance, security, and compliance domains.
  • Identify quality gaps, analyze trends, and anticipate release risks.
  • Deliver executive-level QA reports, dashboards, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Manage and mentor QA Leads and senior individual contributors.
  • Set goals, distribute workload, and conduct performance reviews across QA teams.
  • Advocate for Agile testing and quality throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and business analysts on requirements and testing strategy.
  • Review software requirements, design documents, and system architecture for testability.
  • Manage defect triage and improve automated and regression testing infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of software QA experience across manual and automated testing of web and API applications.
  • At least 2+ years directly managing QA Leads, senior engineers, or a multi-team QA function.
  • Experience in the insurance industry or another similarly regulated, complex industry is a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to establish QA processes, tooling, and standards organization-wide.
  • Experience producing executive-level reporting and quality insights for senior leadership.
  • Deep understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes across the full testing lifecycle.
  • Experience scaling automated testing frameworks in an agile environment, with strong BDD and Gherkin knowledge.
  • Hands-on familiarity with JavaScript and .NET testing tools such as Jest, Mocha, JMeter, Cypress, Selenium, Puppeteer, NUnit, Cucumber, Telerik, and Specflow, plus CI integration.
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools, performance reviews, and structured QA processes.
  • Working knowledge of performance, security, and compliance testing.
  • Practical experience building and rolling out AI-powered processes across teams or workflows.
