Description

  • Serve as chief legal advisor and strategic partner to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Develop and execute the company’s legal strategy in support of business growth and long-term objectives.
  • Provide practical guidance that balances legal risk with commercial opportunity.
  • Partner across Sales, Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, People, Security, and Clinical teams.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a small legal team including an Associate General Counsel and Commercial Counsel.
  • Build a scalable legal function and set priorities across the department.
  • Negotiate, draft, and advise on complex commercial, partnership, vendor, customer, and healthcare agreements.
  • Oversee corporate governance, entity management, and governance best practices.
  • Manage litigation, investigations, employment matters, and outside counsel relationships.
  • Lead legal support for mergers and acquisitions, investments, financings, and other strategic transactions.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with a state bar.
  • 12+ years of legal experience, including both law firm and in-house experience.
  • Experience supporting healthcare, healthcare technology, SaaS, AI, or other highly regulated technology businesses.
  • Prior experience leading and developing legal teams while staying hands-on in legal work.
  • Experience advising executive leadership on complex legal and business matters.
  • Strong commercial judgment and ability to provide practical, business-focused advice.
  • Outstanding negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with commercial contracting, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, litigation management, and strategic transactions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-growth environment where priorities change quickly.
  • Strong preference for a candidate based on the East Coast.
