Description

  • Conduct accurate and timely investigations into coverage, liability, and damages for assigned claims.
  • Manage assigned claims to achieve timely and cost-effective resolutions.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with policyholders, brokers, carrier partners, Risk Engineers, and other internal/external stakeholders.
  • Direct and monitor work performed by experts and outside counsel, ensuring vendors meet service standards.
  • Use the Counterpart claims system to capture complete and accurate claim details that support data collection and modeling.
  • Identify and escalate emerging claims trends across industries, geographies, and business segments.
  • Provide user-level feedback to help improve claims handling processes, guidelines, and systems.
  • Ensure every interaction with insureds and brokers reflects the company’s brand, mission, and vision.
  • Collaborate closely with Claims leadership, Data, Engineering, and carrier partners to improve claims operations.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience litigating or managing claims in Employment Practices Liability, Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Directors and Officers Liability, or Errors and Omissions Liability.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • J.D. and professional designations such as RPLU or AIC are highly preferred.
  • Must possess all required state claim adjuster licenses, or be able to obtain them within 90 days of hire.
  • Previous carrier or broker experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently on complex matters and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong leadership, initiative, time management, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Comfort working in a paperless claims environment and using Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel; familiarity with Google Docs Editors suite is a plus.
  • Ability to succeed in a fully remote work environment and travel approximately 10–15% as needed.

  • Estimated base salary range of $120,000 to $160,000.
