Description

  • Lead quality strategy, test planning, design, execution, and reporting for complex, distributed systems.
  • Work as an embedded quality specialist within a product-aligned team alongside developers, product managers, and operations.
  • Participate in refinement, design discussions, and architectural decisions to influence quality early.
  • Drive shift-left quality practices so testing, validation, and risk analysis happen continuously throughout delivery.
  • Use AI-assisted tools where appropriate to speed up analysis and improve quality feedback loops.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and estimate quality effort and risk.
  • Design, maintain, and execute test scenarios across API, integration, and UI levels, with automation in mind.
  • Collaborate with developers to find defects early, provide clear reproduction steps, and validate fixes quickly.
  • Surface quality, reliability, and delivery risks to the team and stakeholders and track defect trends to inform improvements.
  • Maintain quality standards through deployment and production monitoring, while contributing to continuous improvement of tools and ways of working.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in software quality engineering or testing roles.
  • Experience working in Agile, iterative delivery environments with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to lead quality efforts without acting as a gatekeeper.
  • Experience collaborating with Product Managers to turn requirements into quality strategies.
  • Deep understanding of quality considerations in cloud-based and SaaS environments.
  • Hands-on experience with functional, regression, exploratory, performance, and reliability testing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining highly collaborative.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence without authority.
  • API testing and automation experience is preferred.
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Postman/Newman, or similar is preferred.
  • Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery workflows is preferred.
  • Familiarity with GitLab or similar DevOps platforms is preferred.
  • Experience in teams where engineers build, deploy, and support what they ship is preferred.
  • Experience using production signals such as monitoring, logs, and metrics to inform quality strategy is preferred.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira and TestRail, or equivalents, is preferred.
  • BI or data-driven application testing experience is preferred.
  • EHS domain experience is a plus.
