Description

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend services that power CookUnity’s personalization systems.
  • Define and drive architectural improvements that improve reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Data teams to deliver tailored content and user experiences.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers while setting a high standard for technical excellence and ownership.
  • Evaluate and introduce new technologies, frameworks, and AI adoptions that improve the backend stack and development velocity.
  • Improve system observability, performance, and resilience for revenue-critical systems.
  • Contribute as a hands-on engineer by writing clean, well-tested, and efficient code.
  • Lead technical planning and project execution from concept through on-time delivery.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in full stack or backend software development.
  • Strong experience with React, Kotlin, TypeScript, and SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
  • Proven experience architecting and scaling complex backend systems in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, and event-driven architecture.
  • Deep understanding of system performance and scalability best practices.
  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous requirements into clear, actionable plans.
  • Advanced English communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and guiding engineers.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and cloud platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS (preferred).
  • Experience with React Native (preferred).
