Description

  • Manage a portfolio of client accounts and ensure timely delivery of accounting and reporting work.
  • Lead full-cycle accounting and month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, AP/AR, and financial statement preparation.
  • Review accounting work to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency across client deliverables.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis.
  • Advise founders, CFOs, and finance teams on accounting questions and issue resolution.
  • Manage client deadlines, priorities, and deliverables, proactively escalating items that need attention.
  • Support year-end compilations, audits, reviews, and tax-related work.
  • Improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls.
  • Coach junior accounting team members and provide feedback on their work.
  • Lead resolution of complex accounting issues and support advisory and finance projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting.
  • Big Four experience is required.
  • Significant experience in client-facing accounting, public accounting, audit, or advisory environments.
  • Experience reviewing or mentoring accountants and owning the quality of team deliverables.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English with clients, founders, CFOs, and senior finance professionals; the role is 100% in English.
  • Ability to work with at least partial overlap with Eastern Time business hours; availability from 9am to 6pm ET is preferred.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Taxprep, or CaseWare is preferred.
  • Experience supporting SaaS, technology, fintech, or Web3 companies is preferred.
  • CPA designation or active pursuit of a CPA is preferred.
