Description

  • Serve as the technical lead for the SurvalentONE SCADA platform.
  • Own administration of the SCADA environment, including data platform development, alarm management, application design, and configuration.
  • Ensure high availability and resilience through architecture decisions, monitoring, and SLA management.
  • Monitor system performance and resolve issues related to stability, latency, alarm flooding, and data integrity.
  • Lead platform patching, upgrades, licensing management, and version control.
  • Manage change control processes to enable fast feature delivery with minimal disruption.
  • Lead root cause investigations for system failures and platform degradation.
  • Collaborate with Software and Operations leadership to align technical decisions with operational needs.
  • Develop SCADA lifecycle processes, standards, and annual performance and roadmap reports.
  • Troubleshoot complex SCADA incidents and support integration of new projects and facilities onto the platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on SCADA engineering experience.
  • 3 years of direct experience in the Survalent application ecosystem strongly preferred.
  • Experience owning and administering a production SCADA environment, including data infrastructure, application design, alert management, and asset integration.
  • Experience managing SCADA upgrades and patching in live environments.
  • Experience developing and maintaining production-grade cloud systems, with Azure preferred.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex SCADA platform issues independently.
  • Experience working in high-availability or critical infrastructure environments.
  • Understanding of redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery architecture.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical issues to operations stakeholders.
  • Comfort making independent technical decisions in production environments.
  • 5-10% travel expected, primarily for training, conferences, team events, and company-wide meetings.
  • Experience with SEL RTAC configuration and database mapping (preferred).
  • Experience with SEL protection relaying and power quality meter integration (preferred).
  • Familiarity with communications protocols such as DNP3, Modbus, IEC 61850, and OPC UA (preferred).
  • Familiarity with renewable energy and battery energy storage systems (preferred).
