Description

  • Own and maintain structured records of Treasury actions (pre-execution when feasible or reconstructed post-execution), documenting economic intent, assets/networks involved, expected accounting treatment, and tooling limitations.
  • Maintain a structured off-platform ledger for unsupported or complex onchain activity designed to reconcile into Cryptio and downstream accounting systems and provide a clear audit trail.
  • Partner with Treasury and Accounting to ensure completeness and accuracy of onchain wallet activity from explorers and analytics tools (e.g., Etherscan, DeBank, Dune) flowing into accounting systems, and identify and resolve gaps where activity is not supported by tooling.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of onchain wallet activity across supported and unsupported assets and networks, including DeFi protocols and multi-step onchain interactions.
  • Interpret raw transaction-level and smart contract activity to determine economic substance and classify events (e.g., principal, revenue, rewards, fees, penalties).
  • Translate complex onchain activity into clear, auditable economic narratives and produce structured reconciliation artifacts (transaction evidence, valuation logic, accounting treatment) for Finance Leadership, Accounting, and Audit.
  • Partner with Accounting to ensure exports/syncs from Cryptio are correctly classified, valued, and booked in NetSuite.
  • Provide advisory pre-execution reviews of novel onchain actions (new protocols, assets, chains, transaction types) to identify accounting implications and tooling limitations in advance.
  • Collaborate with Data & Engineering to identify repeatable onchain event patterns, standardize classifications, improve data ingestion, and reduce manual interpretation through partial automation; and develop/enhance workflows and controls across Cryptio, FloQast, NetSuite, and supporting data sources.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and data skills and advanced user of Excel / Google Sheets.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and reconcile onchain data, including smart contract interactions and multi-step transaction flows.
  • High attention to detail, strong ownership mindset, and comfort operating with incomplete or imperfect data.
  • Ability to clearly explain complex onchain activity to non-technical stakeholders across Accounting, Finance, and Audit.
  • Experience performing daily/weekly/monthly reconciliations across multiple chains, assets, and protocols (preferred).
  • Experience reconciling high volumes of onchain activity across DeFi, staking, liquid staking, restaking, or bridging (preferred).
  • Familiarity with crypto accounting concepts including valuation, realized/unrealized gains, gas fees, and protocol incentives (preferred).
  • Experience with NetSuite, FloQast, Cryptio, or similar digital asset accounting platforms (preferred).
  • Background in Big 4, audit support, or high-growth crypto/fintech environments and a working understanding of U.S. GAAP as it relates to digital assets are advantageous.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred; applicants must be willing to submit to employment background checks (education, employment, criminal).
