Description

  • Lead, grow, and retain a high-performing engineering organization of 10–20 engineers across multiple locations.
  • Provide technical leadership and define engineering strategy with the CTO, including architecture, infrastructure, AI scalability, and reliability.
  • Stay hands-on with the technology by guiding system design, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
  • Own product quality, reliability, and performance, including stable releases, testing practices, and operational excellence.
  • Drive engineering processes such as sprint planning, technical reviews, postmortems, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Product Management and Sales to deliver launches, hit business metrics, and support enterprise deployments.
  • Work directly with enterprise customers when needed to design complex integrations with Meta APIs, CRMs, and commerce platforms such as Shopify, VTEX, and SAP.
  • Own hiring, development, evaluation, feedback, performance reviews, and growth plans for engineers.
  • Identify and develop emerging leaders while fostering ownership, accountability, and innovation.
  • Build systems, processes, and talent that scale beyond the team’s direct scope.

Requirements

  • MS or BS in Computer Science.
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 3+ years in management or tech lead roles within a technology company.
  • Proven experience leading teams of 10–20 engineers, ideally across distributed locations.
  • Demonstrated ability to set technical strategy and drive architectural decisions at scale.
  • Strong understanding of backend and AI systems, including Python, AWS, Kafka, Postgres, DynamoDB, and modern CI/CD practices.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders such as Product Management, Sales, and Customer Success to deliver major launches.
  • Experience engaging directly with enterprise clients and integrating with third-party ecosystems such as Meta APIs, CRMs, and commerce platforms.
  • Strong leadership, empathy, and communication skills, with the ability to deliver technical and performance feedback constructively.
  • Passion for building and scaling AI-driven systems and applying LLM technology to real-world business use cases (preferred).
