Description

  • Audit Figma workspace files to map shared library dependencies, component references, and token connections across the design system ecosystem.
  • Lead the duplication and restructuring of the Foundations library into a brand-specific version while preserving component naming integrity.
  • Use Figma’s Swap Library feature across the full file set to reconnect components after the library is moved to the new account.
  • Manually resolve components that cannot be automatically matched during the library swap, including renamed, deleted, or structurally changed assets.
  • Validate the published state of Patterns, Recipes, and Template libraries after migration to ensure downstream files continue receiving updates.
  • Document library decisions, known gaps, and structural changes for the design team.
  • Set up Token Studio in the new Figma account and connect it to a brand-specific token set.
  • Validate token connections across colors, typography, spacing, and component-level tokens, and fix broken or mismatched references.
  • Run an early proof-of-concept migration in a sandbox environment to test team and library transfers before the full migration begins.
  • Coordinate with org administrators on team-level transfer to the new Enterprise account and sequence migration work to minimize disruption.
  • QA the migrated environment before handoff to confirm there are no broken references, missing libraries, or disconnected tokens.

Requirements

  • Expert-level Figma proficiency with deep understanding of files, libraries, components, variants, and publishing workflows.
  • Hands-on experience managing or rebuilding Figma shared libraries.
  • Strong working knowledge of design token architecture and how tokens map to Figma variables and styles.
  • Direct experience using Figma’s Swap Library feature in an enterprise environment.
  • Ability to audit large, complex Figma file systems and identify structural dependencies independently.
  • High attention to detail and comfort with precise, high-volume reconnection work.
  • Ability to work independently from an ambiguous brief with minimal day-to-day direction.
  • Preferred experience with Token Studio, including setup, configuration, multi-brand token sets, and connection to Figma variables.
  • Preferred understanding of Figma Enterprise administration, including org settings, team structure, seat management, and library sharing settings.
  • Preferred background in design system migrations, brand splits, or Figma organization transitions.
  • Preferred understanding of multi-brand design systems and how shared foundations are forked into brand-specific implementations.
  • Bonus experience moving a Figma environment from one enterprise account to another or working with Figma plugins for library management and token tooling.
