Description

  • Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for Atlassian Cloud and Google Workspace platforms.
  • Own the configuration, optimization, governance, and adoption of internal communication and knowledge management tools.
  • Administer Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Jira Assets, and Confluence across the organization.
  • Design and improve IT service management workflows, including request handling, incident, and change management processes.
  • Manage Google Workspace at the organizational level, including users, groups, security controls, and service access.
  • Develop automation and workflow improvements to reduce repetitive administrative work and increase platform efficiency.
  • Create training materials, documentation, and presentations to support end-user enablement across the organization.
  • Build dashboards, reports, and queries that provide operational visibility and actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Evaluate, configure, and manage third-party apps and integrations from Atlassian and Google marketplaces.
  • Support technology adoption and act as an evangelist for digital workplace tools across the company.

Requirements

  • Candidates must live in the United States.
  • Willingness to travel twice annually for the Common App Retreat.
  • 4–6 years of experience in system administration, SaaS platform management, or a related IT role focused on enterprise collaboration tools.
  • Deep proficiency in Atlassian Cloud administration, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Jira Assets, and Confluence.
  • Strong expertise in Google Workspace administration, including user and group management, organizational units, security settings, DLP policies, Google Vault, mobile device management, and access controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and optimize Jira Service Management solutions, including request types, queues, SLAs, customer portals, and incident/change workflows.
  • Experience maintaining structured data schemas, including Jira Assets object types, attributes, relationships, and import/export configurations.
  • Familiarity with Jira Automation, Google Apps Script, or other workflow automation tools such as Zapier or n8n.
  • Ability to develop and manage a roadmap for enterprise SaaS platforms by prioritizing user needs, vendor releases, and organizational goals.
  • Proven ability to manage technology projects independently from initiation through completion.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum practices, including Jira boards, sprint management, and backlog grooming.
  • Strong skill in creating training materials, documentation, quick-reference guides, and presentations for non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with JQL, CQL, and dashboard/report creation for stakeholder reporting.
  • Experience evaluating and managing third-party apps and integrations, including cost-benefit and security review.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience with AI-powered productivity tools such as Atlassian Intelligence, Atlassian Rovo, and Google Gemini for Workspace is preferred.
  • Knowledge of ITIL principles and their application in service desk, incident, and change management is preferred.
  • Experience with organizational change management, platform migrations, or digital transformation is preferred.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Google Looker Studio, Jira dashboards, or eazyBI is preferred.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit, higher education, or education technology organization is preferred.
  • ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent service management credential is preferred.
  • Atlassian Certified Professional certification in Jira Administration for Cloud, Confluence Administration for Cloud, or Cloud Organization Admin is preferred.
  • Google Cloud certification as an Associate Google Workspace Administrator or Professional Google Workspace Administrator is preferred.
