Description

  • Lead low voltage BMS controls projects from design through construction completion for data centers.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets with the Design and Construction Team, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare construction and development estimates for building management systems and support project budget and unit cost reporting.
  • Supervise field technicians, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure proper installation and quality outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee procurement of BMS materials and equipment to align with budgets and schedules.
  • Conduct site surveys, review drawings, schematics, and technical specifications to support project planning and execution.
  • Track project progress and prepare status reports and updates for management.
  • Manage change orders, RFIs, project documentation, and closeout deliverables, including as-builts and substantial completion letters.
  • Coordinate with commissioning teams to ensure successful integration, turnover, and completion of commissioning schedules.
  • Ensure all work complies with building codes, electrical codes, industry standards, and Cologix policies.
  • Advocate for safety on the jobsite and mitigate project risks through proactive planning and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of project management experience in building management systems or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the mission-critical or data center industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of low voltage systems, including structured cabling, access control, CCTV, and related critical infrastructure systems.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze complex drawings, schematics, and technical drawings for BMS installations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with project management software such as Procore or MS Project, Microsoft Office Suite, and cloud-based commissioning platforms.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and mentor field technicians, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; sponsorship, including CPT/OPT, is not available.
