Description

  • Maintain and update employee data in the HRIS while ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
  • Support the new hire onboarding process through coordination, documentation, and employee experience activities.
  • Assist with benefits administration tasks, including enrollments, audits, and employee inquiries.
  • Generate HR reports and dashboards and help analyze data to support business decisions.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for talent acquisition activities such as interview scheduling, background check screening, and candidate tracking.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives, including process improvements and documentation updates.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries, interpret policies, resolve routine issues, and escalate complex matters appropriately.
  • Support general HR operations and miscellaneous team projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Must be a rising third- or fourth-year undergraduate student.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Analytical mindset with an interest in working with data and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with HR systems is a plus.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Self-starter with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Prior internship or coursework related to HR, business analytics, or operations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms or applicant tracking systems (ATS) is preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in Canada; sponsorship or transfer of work permit sponsorship is not available.

Benefits

  • $25 per hour.
  • 10-week internship running from June 1 to around August 7.
  • Up to 40 hours per week.
  • Hands-on experience across HR functions including HRIS, onboarding, benefits, reporting, analytics, and talent acquisition.
