Description

Drive rapid experimentation by creating a repeatable framework for logged-out testing and iteration.
Build and optimize programmatic SEO pages across millions of assets and product categories.
Improve logged-out web experiences for SEO, web performance, and user conversion.
Architect multi-product logged-out experiences to support Coinbase’s expanding asset coverage.
Scale marketing and user tracking across multiple segments and channels.
Improve marketing attribution, measurement, and data quality across ad platforms.
Provide technical leadership and partner with management and stakeholders on strategic roadmaps.
Mentor and coach engineers on design techniques, coding standards, and growth engineering best practices.
Identify and reduce technical debt while improving performance across the logged-out platform.
Work across the full stack, from frontend experiences to backend services, to deliver scalable systems.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in software engineering.
Deep experience with React, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks such as Next.js or similar.
Proficiency with backend languages and patterns, including GraphQL/API design.
Strong understanding of Core Web Vitals, SSR optimization, caching strategies such as CDN and edge, and mobile-first development.
Track record of running rapid A/B tests and data-driven experimentation.
Experience architecting and developing solutions to ambiguous, high-impact problems.
Ability to work across the full stack, including frontend and backend services.
Passion for building an open financial system and interest in crypto/blockchain technology.
Experience with marketing technology, attribution systems, or ad platform integrations such as Google Ads API, Meta CAPI, or TikTok Events API (nice to have).
Background in growth engineering, including SEO, experimentation, A/B testing frameworks, and acquisition funnels (nice to have).
Experience with event-driven architectures and Kafka (nice to have).
Familiarity with data pipelines, MongoDB, Snowflake, and Airflow (nice to have).
Experience with Go or Node.js backend services (nice to have).
Experience launching new products from 0 to 1 (nice to have).

Benefits

Annual base salary range of $218,025-$256,500 USD, depending on location.
Annual base salary range of $217,900 CAD, depending on location.
Total compensation may include equity and bonus eligibility.

Remote-first flexibility for many roles, with required in-person participation for team and company offsites.
