Description

Design and implement next-generation core Risk platform architecture powering Coinbase.
Collaborate with stakeholders across product and financial operations organizations.
Help shape the strategy and execution path for the Risk platform.
Own project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables using technical expertise.
Mentor and train team members on design techniques and coding standards.
Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in backend software engineering using Golang or similar languages.
Proven track record of delivering impactful solutions that power significant risk flows.
Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining high-throughput, low-latency production services.
Experience architecting and developing solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact.
Strong technical knowledge of distributed systems that process massive scale.
Solid communication skills with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Relentless drive and perseverance to achieve ambitious goals.
Passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together.
Domain expertise in Risk engineering is preferred.
Experience working closely with machine learning models to scale risk use cases at large scale is preferred.
Experience in both startups and large enterprises is preferred.

Benefits

Annual base salary range of $253,895 to $298,700 USD, excluding equity and bonus.
Total compensation may include equity and bonus eligibility.
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
Remote-first flexibility with required in-person participation throughout the year.
Team and company-wide offsites are fully supported.
