Description

  • Design and implement next-generation core Risk platform architecture powering Coinbase.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across product and financial operations organizations.
  • Help shape the strategy and execution path for the Risk platform.
  • Own project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables using technical expertise.
  • Mentor and train team members on design techniques and coding standards.
  • Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in backend software engineering using Golang or similar languages.
  • Proven track record of delivering impactful solutions that power significant risk flows.
  • Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining high-throughput, low-latency production services.
  • Experience architecting and developing solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact.
  • Strong technical knowledge of distributed systems that process massive scale.
  • Solid communication skills with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relentless drive and perseverance to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together.
  • Domain expertise in Risk engineering is preferred.
  • Experience working closely with machine learning models to scale risk use cases at large scale is preferred.
  • Experience in both startups and large enterprises is preferred.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $253,895 to $298,700 USD, excluding equity and bonus.
  • Total compensation may include equity and bonus eligibility.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
  • Remote-first flexibility with required in-person participation throughout the year.
  • Team and company-wide offsites are fully supported.
