Description

  • Drive the technical vision and execution of complex, multi-quarter initiatives across multiple engineering teams.
  • Lead the design and development of mission-critical trading systems, including order management, execution engines, and reliability infrastructure.
  • Partner with product, design, and other cross-functional teams to align roadmap decisions with technical strategy.
  • Influence the trading stack and product roadmap by identifying and prioritizing strategic technical initiatives.
  • Mentor and coach engineers across multiple levels to build future technical leaders.
  • Improve engineering quality through design reviews, code review guidance, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with the US Trading team to define and deliver Coinbase's next-generation trading system for IntX.
  • Raise the bar for correctness, operational excellence, and technical leadership across the team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong track record of shipping large-scale distributed systems.
  • Significant leadership experience in building and delivering complex technical systems.
  • Deep expertise in trading systems, traditional or crypto, with experience in order management, execution algorithms, market data, or risk management.
  • Strong product intuition and a customer-obsessed approach to technical decision-making.
  • Proven ability to lead complex initiatives across organizational boundaries and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong mentoring skills and a passion for developing high-performing teams.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous, high-stakes, high-velocity environments.
  • High standards for quality, correctness, and operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots such as LibreChat, Gemini, and Glean in daily workflows.
  • Preferred: experience building complicated trading systems, especially in financial markets such as equities, FX, or crypto.
  • Preferred: familiarity with regulated environments and designing for compliance and auditability.
  • Preferred: experience with Go or other performant backend languages.
  • Preferred: contributions to open source or trading protocols.

Benefits

  • Target annual base salary of SGD 191,100.
  • Total compensation may include equity and bonus eligibility.
