Description

  • Identify, investigate, and mitigate fraudulent deposit activity.
  • Implement logic to target bad actors and high-risk behavior associated with unauthorized deposit activity across multiple regions.
  • Use quantitative analysis to assess risk, evaluate tradeoffs, and make decisions affecting large customer segments.
  • Synthesize data insights into clear stories and communicate findings to Payments Risk leadership.
  • Review and respond to alerts related to anomalous customer and transaction behavior.
  • Measure fraud performance across payment methods, develop core metrics, and build dashboards to track them.
  • Proactively identify and close gaps in monitoring.
  • Own risk controls end-to-end and scale processes as the business expands.
  • Own reporting processes and manage communication with banking partners.
  • Partner with Product, Growth, Data Science, and Engineering to develop and drive risk management strategies for different geographies.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • 2+ years fighting push payment fraud in an e-commerce or financial services environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, database work, and querying with SQL, MySQL, or similar tools.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong knowledge of pull payment processes and experience with fraud claim investigations.
  • Experience analyzing data using SQL and Databricks.
  • Experience with data visualization and storytelling using Looker, Tableau, SuperSet, or other BI platforms.
  • Ability to independently create plans for analytics projects and build collaboration within the team.
  • Demonstrated alignment with core cultural values: clear communication, positive energy, continuous learning, and efficient execution.
  • Ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots in daily workflows, with human-in-the-loop practices and a focus on measurable efficiency, cost, and quality improvements.
  • Understanding of statistical concepts and experience applying them, preferred.
  • Experience using quantitative tools such as Python or R, preferred.
  • Experience working with machine learning models, preferred.
  • Understanding of blockchain analytics and/or fraud trends within the cryptocurrency ecosystem, preferred.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of £85,320 to £94,800 GBP.
  • Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility.
