Description

  • Manage the end-to-end preparation and review of the worldwide quarterly and annual income tax provision under ASC 740 and US GAAP.
  • Research, document, and support complex tax positions related to non-recurring transactions, FIN 48 reserves, and deferred asset realizability.
  • Own the accuracy of the global effective tax rate, deferred tax assets and liabilities, and current tax payable accounts.
  • Prepare income tax footnotes and disclosures for SEC filings, including Form 10-K and 10-Q.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external auditors on tax matters, including information requests, technical walkthroughs, and defense of tax positions.
  • Manage the return-to-provision process by reconciling filed tax returns to prior period provisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation of tax accounting processes to improve efficiency and shorten close cycles.
  • Build and maintain a strong tax controllership environment with robust SOX controls, documentation, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, and Accounting to ensure tax provision data is accurate.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant tax experience, ideally split between a Big 4 accounting firm and industry.
  • Significant experience with ASC 740 and global tax provisioning and controllership at a multinational organization.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing complex US consolidated federal income tax returns.
  • Significant experience with US international tax concepts including Subpart F, foreign tax credits, GILTI, FDII, and BEAT.
  • Experience with OneSource Tax Provision and Tax Compliance.
  • Proven ability to lead, manage, and optimize direct tax processes.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and a strong aptitude for process optimization and execution.
  • Advanced degree in accounting and/or tax (MST, LLM) is preferred.
  • CPA or CPA equivalent is preferred.
  • Crypto industry experience is preferred.

  • Annual base salary range of $166,345 to $195,700 USD.
  • Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility.
