Description

  • Develop the strategy for Code.org’s professional learning products in partnership with the Director of Teaching and Learning.
  • Manage, mentor, and support the growth of the professional learning content developer team.
  • Lead product development and launch efforts, including roadmaps, milestones, resource allocation, and workflow standardization.
  • Set goals, define metrics, and build evaluation plans to assess product adoption, usage, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Collect, analyze, and act on feedback and data from pilots, surveys, focus groups, observations, and other sources.
  • Review in-development learning products and manage external review processes with subject matter experts and teacher reviewers.
  • Build partnerships and collaborate cross-functionally with product management, design, engineering, marketing, data, and other teams.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of educator needs for implementing CS and AI curricula, including the impact of AI on teaching realities.
  • Contribute to Code.org’s product and engineering team culture, rituals, and values.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience designing and developing professional learning experiences and/or products, ideally focused on CS and AI and delivered at scale.
  • Product management experience in the ed tech or curriculum provider space is ideal.
  • 2+ years of people management experience, or equivalent experience mentoring team members or managing contractors.
  • Knowledge of CS and AI concepts relevant to the CSTA standards and the AI Literacy Framework.
  • Proficiency in at least one text-based programming language, such as Python or JavaScript.
  • Deep understanding of adult learning principles, ideally including best practices for online learning environments.
  • Experience using product, market, and customer data to make product decisions.
  • Strong project management experience leading multiple complex projects with interdependent timelines and components.
  • Deep understanding of equitable classroom practices and student-centered pedagogy.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and cross-functional relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and changing environment with independence and sound judgment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and work within the United States.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and be willing to travel at least twice per year for team events.
  • Experience integrating AI into adult learning supports is highly valued.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $117,000 to $130,000.
