Description

  • Edit a high volume of short-form and long-form video content for client projects, Enchanted Dawn, and Katelyn’s personal brand.
  • Review multi-hour raw footage and identify key moments, hooks, story beats, and narrative structure with limited direction.
  • Create edits in multiple formats, including social shorts, brand videos, reels, TikToks, promo clips, and longer-form content.
  • Adapt video output to different brand voices, visual styles, and tonal guidelines across multiple brands.
  • Incorporate hooks, pattern interrupts, and other attention-grabbing techniques suited to current social platforms.
  • Stay current on US social media and video trends, especially on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Proactively create trend-aligned content from existing footage, archived footage, or B-roll when opportunities arise.
  • Organize, label, and maintain raw and edited media files, including footage, B-roll, music, graphics, and exports.
  • Manage email, calendar, and project coordination tasks to support Katelyn’s daily operations.
  • Track tasks, deadlines, dependencies, and project timelines across multiple concurrent internal and client projects.
  • Help create internal marketing assets, presentations, and simple graphics as needed.
  • Serve as Katelyn’s right hand during working hours and communicate proactively to unblock decisions and keep work moving.

Requirements

  • Strong demonstrable video editing skills, especially for the video editor-focused version of the role.
  • Ability to edit in multiple styles and formats.
  • Ability to extract narrative and key moments from raw footage with limited handholding.
  • Ability to distinguish and execute different brand voices and aesthetics.
  • Experience with video editing software.
  • Comfort working primarily in US hours with a reliable morning overlap window.
  • High initiative, ownership, and the ability to proactively move projects forward.
  • Strong communication and reliability during agreed working hours, especially during busy periods.
  • English proficiency rating required in the application form.
  • Resume must be submitted in English using Coconut’s required VA profile template.
  • 1-minute introduction video is required as part of the application.
  • Event planning or coordination experience is a plus, especially for supporting events, shoots, or launches.
  • Experience with short-form social video such as TikToks, Reels, and YouTube Shorts is preferred.
  • Prior experience in creative studios, marketing agencies, or video-heavy environments is preferred.
  • Role may scale from part-time to full-time as business needs grow.
