Description

  • Own Cobalt’s external brand presence, PR, and thought leadership strategy as the company’s first dedicated marketing and communications hire.
  • Serve as the internal strategic counterpart to the marketing firm during the brand build and website relaunch.
  • Launch and maintain the initial “Powered by Cobalt” sub-brand and ensure brand consistency standards are followed.
  • Build and manage the executive team’s messaging platform for public appearances and external communications.
  • Book, coordinate, and manage podcast appearances, speaking engagements, and media interviews.
  • Prepare briefing materials, talking points, and Q&A documents, and oversee post-appearance content repurposing workflows.
  • Develop and execute a content calendar that positions Cobalt as a credible voice in enterprise security and facilities management.
  • Ghostwrite bylines, white papers, op-eds, and other executive thought leadership content.
  • Manage Cobalt’s LinkedIn presence, social channels, and sales content library.
  • Develop enterprise customer case studies, secure customer quotes and references, and coordinate public use approvals.
  • Ensure website and marketing materials use enterprise buyer language and reflect target customer concerns.
  • Coordinate PR around enterprise wins and milestones to maximize brand exposure.
  • Develop messaging guidelines and tools for portfolio companies to represent the brand consistently in external interactions.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as the primary communications or PR lead for a senior executive, elected official, or high-profile principal.
  • Track record of building an institutional brand rather than a personal profile.
  • Exceptional writing ability across executive thought leadership, web copy, case studies, op-eds, and briefing materials.
  • Established relationships with podcast producers, journalists, and conference organizers, or a clear methodology for building those relationships.
  • Ability to write compelling pitches and manage media opportunities end-to-end without relying on an outside agency.
  • Experience managing an outside marketing or PR agency as a strategic counterpart while running multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • A real content system that you have built and operated, with the ability to explain how it works.
  • Fluency with LinkedIn strategy, social scheduling tools, and basic analytics platforms.
  • An AI-native approach to work, with the instinct to use available tools to multiply output.
  • Familiarity with enterprise B2B buyers in regulated or mission-critical industries, or the ability to learn their language quickly.
