Description

  • Assess the security posture of insured and prospective insured organizations across technologies, controls, and business environments.
  • Investigate cyber incidents and insurance claims to determine root causes, attack vectors, and control gaps.
  • Advise customers and security leaders on prioritized improvements in architecture, cloud security, data protection, and compliance.
  • Translate threat intelligence and attacker behavior into detection practices and actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with Product and cross-functional teams to improve risk models, underwriting approaches, rating models, and security applications.
  • Monitor emerging security practices, regulations, and industry trends to inform customers, processes, and products.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in security analysis, blue-team or defensive security, penetration testing, red-team operations, incident response, or a related field.
  • Expert knowledge of threat lifecycles, attack vectors, exploitation methods, and attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, network analysis, log analysis, network traffic capture, and security applications.
  • Experience investigating incidents or claims, determining root cause, and recommending preventive or detective controls.
  • Familiarity with NIST, ISO, HIPAA, and PCI frameworks and their practical application.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and executive audiences.
  • Fluent written and verbal communication in both English and German.
  • Experience with cyber insurance claims, underwriting, rating, or risk-scoring inputs (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud security, security architecture, data protection, threat intelligence, or security control assessments (preferred).
  • Experience advising CISOs or customers and improving security processes, products, or analytical methodologies (preferred).
