Description

  • Act as the CTO and CEO's technical complement by handling problems, conversations, and stakeholder relationships that would otherwise consume their time.
  • Listen to business stakeholders, understand their pain points, and scope pragmatic solutions that address immediate needs.
  • Build software solutions including lightweight applications, automations, integrations, and workflows to solve operational problems.
  • Deliver working solutions personally or by coordinating engineers, analysts, and vendors as needed, while staying accountable for the result.
  • Exercise disciplined judgment on scope to keep interim solutions focused, replaceable, and free of unnecessary technical debt.
  • Manage a portfolio of tactical problems across the organization and keep multiple workstreams moving in parallel.
  • Partner with the CTO to ensure interim solutions align with the long-term technical vision and can evolve when needed.
  • Build trust across operations leaders, department heads, and cross-functional partners so stakeholders come to you directly for help.
  • Identify and deliver quick wins that demonstrate the model and create momentum for broader adoption.

Requirements

  • Background in consulting, systems integration, or a generalist technical role with experience shipping solutions across multiple domains and stakeholders.
  • Experience at a Big Three, Big Four, or systems integrator is a plus.
  • Ability to build software, apps, automations, integrations, and workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/LLM tools and a habit of using automation and AI to accelerate work.
  • Excellent judgment about when something should be built now versus built right.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an effortlessly approachable style that helps build trust and rapport.
  • Comfort thriving in variety and context-switching across domains, stakeholders, and problem types.
  • Ability to work independently as a builder rather than as a project manager with technical vocabulary.
