Description

  • Lead the regulatory accounting close process and prepare financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow, Statement of Changes in Equity, and Notes.
  • Prepare, validate, and submit CADOC reports and other regulatory filings for Payment Institutions (Segment S3).
  • Maintain complete audit trails and reconciliations between regulatory reports and the general ledger.
  • Manage and improve the regulatory reporting calendar, identifying risks and defining action plans.
  • Design and maintain internal controls and automated data quality validations for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, managing PBC requests, Q&As, circularization, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Collaborate with Data and Engineering teams to document business rules, improve ETL/ELT pipelines, and automate checks and reporting packages.
  • Support Treasury, Risk, FP&A, Legal, and Compliance teams with regulatory data and financial statement analysis.
  • Monitor BCB/CMN regulatory changes relevant to Segment S3 and update internal processes and templates accordingly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Active CRC registration is a strong plus.
  • Experience in accounting or regulatory roles within financial institutions or payment institutions.
  • Hands-on experience with financial statements, COSIF, and CADOCs.
  • Solid experience with external audits, including planning, execution, and issue resolution.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills and basic to intermediate SQL for reconciliation and data testing.
  • Working knowledge of BCB/CMN regulations applicable to Segment S3 Payment Institutions and internal controls frameworks.
  • Excellent Portuguese communication skills.
  • English reading and writing skills for regulations and auditor communications are desirable.
  • Nice-to-have: understanding of IFRS 9, including credit risk classification and expected loss modeling.
  • Nice-to-have: familiarity with Python (pandas) for automation of checks and reporting packages.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with BI tools such as Looker, Data Studio, or Power BI, and cloud databases such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Postgres.
