Description

  • Write high-quality, testable backend code and contribute to the team’s testing culture across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Design and implement new features, including preparing technical designs and discussing solutions with teammates.
  • Build and maintain the company’s complex billing system, public APIs, and internal management tools within the BIT team.
  • Participate in product and architecture discussions to help shape technical direction.
  • Collaborate with backend and frontend developers, QA engineers, Product Managers, and Engineering Managers in a Scrum environment.
  • Keep up with new technologies and incorporate them into day-to-day development work.
  • Work closely with a diverse, international team in a backend-oriented environment focused on reliability.
  • Contribute to scalable web application development using Node.js.

Requirements

  • Experience with Node.js and at least one additional backend technology.
  • Experience with Angular is a plus.
  • Experience building or maintaining API-based integrations, including REST, Webhooks, and OAuth2.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture principles and system design.
  • Familiarity with microservices and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with testing frameworks and a strong commitment to code quality and automation.
  • Proactive, team-oriented mindset and comfort working in a backend-oriented environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a self-starter in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Based in Czechia or Slovakia.
