Description

  • Find and remediate vulnerabilities across application repositories, Terraform, and the broader technology stack.
  • Build, tune, and maintain Datadog Cloud SIEM detections, including MITRE ATT&CK coverage mapping.
  • Investigate, contain, and document security incidents, including root-cause analyses and remediation tracking.
  • Harden AWS environments using GuardDuty, Security Hub, Config, CloudTrail, KMS, Secrets Manager, IAM, and comprehensive logging.
  • Secure CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Advanced Security, code and secret scanning, Dependabot, CrowdStrike scanning, and Kubernetes admission policies.
  • Automate security triage, enrichment, and remediation workflows.
  • Create security runbooks, standards, detection documentation, and technical evidence for compliance obligations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, executives, and other teams to drive security improvements to completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus 4 years of experience, or at least 6 years of practical experience in security engineering, detection engineering, or incident response.
  • Ability to write code, assess vulnerabilities in unfamiliar repositories, and ship fixes through pull requests.
  • Deep AWS security experience, including IAM, least privilege, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, KMS, VPC controls, containers, and serverless workloads.
  • Hands-on SIEM detection engineering experience, including rule development and false-positive tuning.
  • Cloud incident response experience covering investigation, containment, evidence handling, and post-incident reporting.
  • Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, dependency and secrets risks, and CI/CD security tools such as SAST, DAST, SCA, and IaC scanning.
  • Strong written communication and diplomatic collaboration skills in English.
  • Production experience with Datadog Cloud SIEM, CrowdStrike, Okta, or GitHub Advanced Security preferred.
  • PCI DSS Level 1 or SOC 2 audit-support experience preferred.
  • Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Python, Terraform, automation, or policy-as-code experience preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
