Description

  • Own internal identity and access management, including Google Workspace, SSO, MFA, groups, permissions, and least-privilege controls.
  • Automate joiner, mover, and leaver workflows so access and tools follow employee changes reliably.
  • Maintain visibility into the SaaS estate, including ownership, access, licensing, costs, renewals, and retirement decisions.
  • Define and maintain IT and security policies, technical controls, training, access reviews, vulnerability management, testing, and incident processes.
  • Manage security assurance and compliance activities, including questionnaires, audit evidence, Cyber Essentials, risk management, and governance.
  • Secure and manage company and personal devices through endpoint management, encryption, patching, provisioning, compliance monitoring, and retirement.
  • Respond to IT and security incidents with clear ownership, communication, documented decisions, and root-cause remediation.
  • Collaborate with Technology, People, Legal, Data Protection, Finance, vendors, and business teams on company-wide initiatives.
  • Evaluate and implement automation, scripting, APIs, workflow tools, native platform capabilities, and AI to reduce manual work.
  • Provide visibility and recommendations on tool and service investments while keeping the CTO informed on key decisions.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience improving corporate IT, IT operations, or security operations as a company scales.
  • Strong practical experience with identity and access management, endpoint management, and automation.
  • Working knowledge of SaaS governance, vendor and license management, audits, certifications, incident response, and data protection.
  • Ability to design and apply proportionate security controls, policies, governance, and risk decisions.
  • Experience converting manual, messy, or poorly defined processes into scalable systems.
  • Understanding of Google Workspace, SSO, MFA, least privilege, device security, and vulnerability management.
  • Ability to work with unfamiliar systems and tools based on strong security principles rather than narrow product expertise.
  • Strong communication skills with technical and nontechnical stakeholders across a distributed organization.
  • Business-minded judgment and ability to balance security, usability, cost, and delivery speed.
  • Availability to work remotely in the CT or ET timezone and collaborate with teams in the UK, US, West Coast, and Europe.
