Description

  • Manage development strategy, process, and project management for the Global Industry Hub in partnership with senior staff and program colleagues.
  • Prepare proposals, funder reports, field visits, and funder events for existing supporters.
  • Maintain and advance prospect acquisition activities, including prospect lists, cultivation and solicitation strategies, moves management plans, and marketing materials.
  • Track grant progress and outcomes with Program and Finance teams, including review of grant awards and reporting on grant expenses.
  • Coordinate development and finance budget reporting and related administrative activities.
  • Prepare contact reports for relevant funder and prospect conversations, meetings, and events.
  • Develop reports for the funding pipeline of select priority programs.
  • Maintain familiarity with program content, goals, objectives, and areas of funder alignment across the broader development ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience in a fast-paced development or fundraising role.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of high-value individual and institutional funders.
  • Demonstrated success in proposal and grant writing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking, research, analytic, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and maintain donor confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Proven experience using sound development processes and fundraising databases.
  • Experience at an environmental organization is a plus.
  • Global experience is a plus.
  • Capital campaign experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively across teams.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary of $130,000 to $140,000 for SF Bay Area/NYC or $120,000 to $130,000 for other U.S. locations, with geographic differential based on location.
  • Excellent benefits package.
  • U.S. Flexible work arrangement with the option to work from the San Francisco office or other locations.
