Description

Design and implement backend systems and APIs that power HyperDX’s observability platform.
Build data ingestion, query, and analysis capabilities for observability data at massive scale.
Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure focused on reliability, scalability, and performance.
Use Kubernetes, Helm, and infrastructure-as-code to simplify and harden production deployments.
Define and improve CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and alerting practices.
Automate testing, scaling, and incident response to keep the platform healthy and developer-friendly.
Design and operate ingestion and data processing pipelines for petabyte-level workloads.
Collaborate with open-source contributors and customers and incorporate their feedback into the product roadmap.

Requirements

5+ years of backend engineering experience.
Strong TypeScript and Node.js experience, with additional languages as a bonus.
Deep understanding of APIs, event-driven systems, and high-throughput data pipelines.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with analytical databases; ClickHouse experience is a plus.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, plus Helm for managing production deployments.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or similar.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, and production-grade alerting practices.
Experience with distributed systems, ingestion pipelines, or columnar databases is preferred.
Experience scaling multi-tenant SaaS platforms in AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.
Background in developer tooling, open-source contributions, SDKs/integrations, or ReactJS is a plus.
