Description

  • Design and develop high-throughput integrations between ClickHouse and databases (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB), data lakes (Iceberg, Delta Lake), and data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake).
  • Handle complex production edge cases including unconventional database setups, internals of data types, database upgrades/failovers, and large transactions.
  • Design integration solutions that enable customers to fully harness ClickHouse performance and throughput.
  • Own end-to-end reliability by debugging complex production issues using runtime diagnostics and observability tools (e.g., pprof, parca, metrics, logging, tracing).
  • Build and improve infrastructure and tooling to increase system reliability, reduce incident response time, and simplify/automate operations.
  • Write clear public and internal documentation and participate in design and code reviews.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and operational incident response.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and work directly with customers to gather integration requirements, drive product innovation, lead technical discussions, and influence product roadmap decisions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry experience building data-intensive software solutions.
  • Proficient in Go, or experienced in systems programming with willingness to ramp up quickly in Go.
  • Cloud-native experience deploying and operating services on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Practical experience with Kubernetes.
  • Strong production debugging skills and a demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for design docs, code reviews, customer calls, and incident response.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and production operations.
  • Remote work eligibility in any country where ClickHouse has a hiring presence.
