Description

Assess clients’ current DevOps culture, processes, and tools and identify opportunities for improvement.
Recommend practical improvements and lead execution of identified changes.
Analyze existing technology stacks and develop processes to continuously improve and expand them.
Establish milestones and coordination steps across departments to support collaboration.
Assist developers and engineers in building demonstrations of proposed solutions and presenting them to teams.
Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions, including products, processes, materials, staffing, and timelines.
Set organizational goals for build, release management, and engineering, and oversee timely execution.
Work with development and engineering teams to maintain infrastructure and software delivery capabilities.
Mentor and train developers and engineers across the company to improve practices companywide.
Partner with product or program management to monitor progress and demonstrate implementation of improvements and initiatives.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in a DevOps-focused role, including software development, systems engineering, and leadership.
Experience assessing DevOps organizations and making recommendations for improvement.
Experience leading or managing software developers and systems engineers in DevOps-oriented environments.
Experience with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and GCP, as well as on-prem environments.
Experience with DevOps tools and technologies such as Terraform, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Istio, Prometheus, and GitHub.
Experience developing, deploying, releasing, and supporting large-scale systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
Current understanding of system security best practices.
Advanced education and application of business analysis techniques and strategy.
Experience working across multiple departments to execute strategy and direction.
Professional experience with multiple operating systems and their implications.
Experience with team building and software delivery team organizations.
Must be able to work remotely and occasionally on-site in the Tampa Bay Area.
Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
