Description

  • Oversee implementation of products and services needed to maintain compliance with changing regulations and audit recommendations.
  • Monitor security tools and system logs to identify threats, indicators of compromise, and risk to organizational systems.
  • Help maintain enterprise vulnerability management standards across operating systems, applications, and hardware.
  • Serve as a team lead and point of contact for incident response analysis and continuous monitoring activities.
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of security documentation, including policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Review and recommend changes to access privileges, control structures, and resources to protect the enterprise.
  • Attend and participate in change control board meetings.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors to support compliance and privacy law requirements.
  • Research and recommend best practices and configuration standards for compliance and privacy obligations.
  • Recommend automation and orchestration improvements to reduce manual security work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in an information security role.
  • Experience administering security tools such as firewalls, IPS/IDS, SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management platforms.
  • Proficiency with SIEM platforms.
  • Deep understanding of incident response methodologies.
  • Experience performing vulnerability assessments and prioritizing remediation based on risk and available resources.
  • Hands-on experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions.
  • Experience with security configuration standards such as DISA STIG and CIS Benchmarks.
  • Familiarity with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and similar compliance frameworks.
  • Certification such as CISSP, GSEC, or an equivalent information security certification.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP), security architecture, and cloud security principles across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation and orchestration.
  • In-depth understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage projects effectively.
