Description

  • Participate in creative check-ins and track day-to-day progress across assigned projects.
  • Brainstorm creative concepts with the project team and develop original design directions and campaigns.
  • Present concepts, design directions, and process in client meetings and workshops.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather feedback and translate needs into clear design solutions.
  • Create and produce visual work for web, UI, infographics, storyboards, animations, print, branding, and campaigns.
  • Translate complex ideas into simple, thoughtful, and effective visual solutions.
  • Work closely with designers, developers, and project managers to keep work aligned and on schedule.
  • Maintain quality and consistency of presentation decks and assigned project deliverables.
  • Lead research efforts and distill source material into compelling design inspiration.
  • Mentor and support teammates while helping ensure deadlines are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a design-related field.
  • 3+ years of experience, preferably in an agency environment.
  • Multiple years of experience designing digital projects, websites, UI, mock-ups, concepts, storyboards, visual guidelines, print, illustrations, and brand work.
  • Strong understanding of responsive web design, including grid systems and mobile/web intricacies.
  • Expert knowledge of Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other design tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining deliverables, timelines, and next steps.
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Confidence presenting to clients in person and over the phone.
  • Ability to articulate and defend design decisions in written and verbal formats.
  • Experience working with both creative and technology teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with prototyping tools.
  • Mac OS familiarity is required or expected.
  • Knowledge of content management systems such as Drupal and WordPress is a plus.

Benefits

  • Hourly rate of $75-$100.
  • 3-month contract with possibility to extend.
  • Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week.
