Description

  • Deliver a strong total patient experience by building relationships with patients and providing medical support.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, including HIPAA requirements.
  • Work with urgency while respecting patient and doctor time and schedules.
  • Operate optical and diagnostic equipment such as lensometers, autorefractors/keratometers, retinal cameras, visual field devices, GDX, or OCT.
  • Follow scripting and procedures for testing equipment, including photos, visual fields, and visual acuity testing.
  • Clean and maintain examination equipment, including tonometer tips.
  • Interact with employees at all levels in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Perform general office duties and cleaning as assigned by the manager.
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented, and patient-focused work environment.
  • Work schedules that may include weekends, changes, or extended hours to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • Previous medical office experience is preferred; previous ophthalmic experience is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience interacting with customers or patients, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must pass a favorable background check as required by the state.
  • Must be able to provide proof of identity and authorization to work in the United States.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a standard office or clinical setting, with travel to other locations as needed.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including frequent walking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs.
  • Strong fine motor skills, full use of hands, and visual/auditory acuity are required.
