  • Define reusable packaging patterns, schemas, validation rules, and automation for platform service bundles and packages.
  • Build, validate, and maintain OCI images, deployment bundles, Helm charts, and Kubernetes manifests for consistent delivery across environments.
  • Automate service delivery workflows using Go, Python, and CI/CD to reduce manual deployment steps and improve reliability.
  • Establish secure software supply chain practices, including artifact provenance, vulnerability management, dependency tracking, signing, and validation.
  • Build and maintain GitLab CI pipelines for packaging, testing, scanning, validation, promotion, and publishing of service artifacts.
  • Define validation, health check, rollback, and upgrade patterns for repeatable deployments across cloud, on-premises, and air-gapped environments.
  • Contribute to Architecture Decision Records for packaging standards, deployment patterns, security controls, and platform integration decisions.
  • Partner with and mentor engineers across teams to help them adopt service packaging patterns and Kubernetes deployment constraints.

  • Ability to view services, infrastructure, Kubernetes primitives, deployment workflows, and team boundaries as parts of one platform system.
  • An engineering mindset that anticipates asynchronous failures in distributed systems and designs highly available, self-healing control planes.
  • Investigative debugging experience with complex Kubernetes and distributed service failures involving controllers, network dependencies, certificates, secrets, and startup order.
  • Preferred: experience delivering software into disconnected, restricted, regulated, or high-security environments.
  • Preferred: hands-on production operations experience supporting services and improving reliability from incident feedback.
  • Preferred: advanced telemetry-driven debugging using metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerts, and Kubernetes events.
  • Preferred: experience managing long-term service lifecycle concerns such as upgrades, compatibility testing, deprecation planning, and repeatable releases.
  • Preferred: demonstrated ability to use AI tools to accelerate engineering work, improve tests and documentation, and increase delivery speed.
