Description

  • Design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure, applications, and tooling for software-defined manufacturing.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and participate in peer code reviews.
  • Create clear documentation and support cross-team communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with team members to evaluate design approaches, prototype new technologies, and assess technical feasibility.
  • Work with adjacent teams to understand real-world usage of frameworks and infrastructure and continuously improve them.
  • Help improve developer velocity by leveraging recent advances in platform and infrastructure practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • B.S. or M.S. degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, JavaScript, C#, or Go.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools and GitOps workflows.
  • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, including self-hosted and managed environments, and modern Kubernetes paradigms such as CNCF.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
  • Familiarity with observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Experience with bare-metal or on-prem infrastructure is preferred.
  • Experience communicating with users, technical leaders, and management to gather requirements and explain system designs is preferred.
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the SDLC, including code reviews, SCM, CI/CD, testing, and operations, is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and grow other team members is preferred.
