Description

  • Define acceptance criteria, testability, and completion standards with product and engineering teams.
  • Own the automated QA workflow, including triage, test generation, execution, and reporting.
  • Review AI-generated tests and code for accuracy, coverage gaps, and false confidence.
  • Perform risk-based exploratory testing across edge cases, security, performance, data integrity, and system integrations.
  • Design and maintain end-to-end and API automation using Playwright and TypeScript.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD quality gates that verify changes before merge.
  • Track quality metrics including escape rate, flake rate, coverage, runtime, and maintenance effort.
  • Triage failures, identify root causes, and prevent recurring failure patterns.
  • Make technical decisions regarding test architecture, data, and environments.
  • Train the team on testing practices for agentic development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in QA, SDET, or software engineering with a quality focus.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on Playwright automation experience with TypeScript or JavaScript.
  • Experience establishing or significantly shaping QA practices for a product or new product team.
  • Experience using AI coding assistants and agentic tools in production delivery workflows.
  • Strong quality-ownership mindset with the ability to identify risks and unclear requirements proactively.
  • Exploratory and risk-based testing experience, including evaluating unspecified behavior.
  • Ability to read and critically evaluate unfamiliar code.
  • Experience building or maintaining CI/CD test pipelines.
  • Understanding of Agile testing, risk-based planning, the test pyramid, and regression scope.
  • Preferred: experience with agentic development methodologies, LLM or agent evaluations, test-suite optimization, Postman, RestAssured, contract testing, Jira automation, or test management systems.
