Description

  • Develop, configure, and maintain pensions calculation functionality within Civica’s pensions administration platforms.
  • Translate business and regulatory requirements into technical calculation logic.
  • Design and maintain SQL queries that support pensions data processing and calculations.
  • Test and validate calculation changes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support implementations, system upgrades, and product enhancements with product, project, and engineering teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve calculation or data issues and provide ongoing technical support.
  • Maintain clear documentation and follow development, release, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Strong technical experience working with pensions calculations in a pensions administration or software environment.
  • Proven SQL and data analysis skills.
  • Experience with one or more of the following technologies, or similar: Python, Java, TypeScript, C#, or C++.
  • Strong Excel skills for modelling, testing, and validating calculations.
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional technical and product teams.
  • Knowledge of public sector pension schemes such as LGPS or similar.
  • Experience working with pensions administration systems or calculation engines.
  • Experience delivering client implementations, system migrations, or data-driven projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience working in agile or product-focused development environments.
