Description

  • Lead continuous improvement of cybersecurity operations, including monitoring, detection, investigation, escalation, and response.
  • Evaluate, optimize, and manage security architecture, technologies, integrations, configurations, and services.
  • Oversee third-party cybersecurity providers, including service quality, performance, dependencies, accountability, and delivery.
  • Serve as the senior business-hours escalation point for significant alerts, investigations, and security incidents.
  • Coordinate incident response, containment, remediation, stakeholder communications, documentation, and follow-up.
  • Improve monitoring and detection engineering across SIEM, endpoint, network, identity, and cloud security.
  • Lead threat intelligence and translate emerging threats and vulnerabilities into defensive controls and detection improvements.
  • Lead security projects, technology implementations, integrations, upgrades, and operational-change initiatives.
  • Present security posture, risks, incidents, and improvement priorities to executive and technical stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement AI and automation opportunities to improve security operations and analysis.

Requirements

  • Significant cybersecurity experience in security architecture, security operations, or both.
  • Experience leading cybersecurity initiatives, technical teams, and third-party security service providers.
  • Strong knowledge of SOC operations, including monitoring, triage, investigation, escalation, and incident response.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, endpoint protection, network security, cloud security, identity security, VPN, and DNS security.
  • Experience managing complex security incidents, investigations, containment, remediation, and stakeholder communications.
  • Experience with threat intelligence, threat detection, monitoring improvements, and proactive defense strategies.
  • Ability to assess security architecture and operational processes, identify gaps, and drive practical improvements.
  • Experience leading security projects, implementations, integrations, upgrades, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Fluent English for daily collaboration, technical discussions, and executive-level presentations with US-based stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across geographically distributed teams during US-aligned business hours.
  • Experience in regulated industries or with HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, or ISO 27001 (preferred).
  • Experience with AWS security, SOC automation and orchestration, AI-enabled security operations, or certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or GIAC (preferred).
