Description

  • Own corporate identity and access management, including Google Workspace, SSO, MFA, groups, permissions and least-privilege access.
  • Automate joiner, mover and leaver workflows so access and provisioning are managed consistently throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain a definitive SaaS and services inventory covering ownership, access, costs, licences and renewals.
  • Partner with teams and vendors to improve software purchasing, renewal and retirement decisions.
  • Define IT and security policies and translate them into practical controls, processes and employee training.
  • Lead access reviews, vulnerability management, external testing, incident processes and security concern reporting.
  • Develop reusable trust, audit and compliance processes, including security questionnaires, audit evidence, Cyber Essentials, risk management and future certifications.
  • Manage endpoint security and lifecycle practices, including remote provisioning, encryption, patching, compliance and retirement for company and personal devices.
  • Extend the company incident process to corporate IT and security issues, ensuring clear ownership, communication and root-cause resolution.
  • Advise leadership on IT and security posture, governance, investment priorities and proportionate risk decisions.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience improving IT, corporate IT or security operations in a scaling organisation.
  • Strong practical expertise in identity and access management, endpoint management and automation.
  • Experience with Google Workspace, SSO, MFA, access groups, permissions and least-privilege principles.
  • Working knowledge of SaaS governance, vendor and licence management, audits, certifications, incident response and data protection.
  • Experience designing scalable processes to replace manual IT and security workflows.
  • Ability to define practical security controls and apply risk-based judgement without creating unnecessary friction.
  • Experience managing device security, patching, encryption and compliance across distributed teams and personal devices.
  • Ability to communicate confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Business-minded approach to evaluating IT and security spend, value and risk.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote, asynchronous environment supporting teams across the UK, US, Canada and Europe.
