Description

  • Design, build, test, and maintain robust data pipelines for collection, transformation, and aggregation on cloud platforms.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code in Python for reproducible data operations across environments.
  • Support, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in existing data pipelines to minimize disruption to downstream consumers.
  • Implement and optimize data lake architectures using Databricks and Snowflake.
  • Design, construct, install, test, and maintain scalable data management systems that meet business and technical requirements.
  • Build and optimize data marts that support data science analysis and business intelligence tools.
  • Validate data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Implement non-functional requirements such as performance optimization, security controls, privacy standards, and GDPR compliance.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and external vendors to align on technical requirements and delivery timelines.
  • Mentor junior team members and document architectural decisions, pipeline designs, and operational procedures.

Requirements

  • Advanced English proficiency, written and spoken, is mandatory.
  • Hands-on experience implementing data lake solutions from scratch with Databricks and/or Snowflake.
  • Strong experience designing, building, and testing production-grade data pipelines in complex environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for Infrastructure as Code and data engineering tasks, including working with data frames in multiple formats.
  • Practical experience with Azure and AWS, including services such as Azure Functions.
  • Deep understanding of performance tuning, security, privacy, and GDPR compliance.
  • Ability to self-manage, prioritize work autonomously, and determine next steps with limited direction.
  • Willingness to continuously learn new technologies and adapt to changing technical environments.
  • Experience with PowerBI for data visualization and reporting (preferred).
  • Knowledge of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks for data pipelines (preferred).
  • Cloud certification in Azure or AWS (preferred).
  • Experience with Kafka, EventHub, or Spark Streaming (preferred).
  • Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams with distributed stakeholders (preferred).
