Description

  • Work with customers on AWS analytics and machine learning service offerings such as Amazon Kinesis, AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, Amazon EMR, Amazon Athena, and Amazon SageMaker.
  • Help customers remove constraints that prevent them from using data to generate business insights.
  • Create white papers, blog posts, demos, and other reusable customer-facing collateral.
  • Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Data Scientists, and Service Engineering teams.
  • Design, develop, and operate data solutions using services such as Amazon Kinesis, Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Amazon SageMaker, Amazon EMR, and NoSQL technologies.
  • Develop and define key business questions and build datasets that answer those questions.
  • Work with business customers to understand requirements and implement solutions.
  • Take machine learning models and implement them as part of data pipelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing data platforms.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience implementing and performance tuning Kinesis, Kafka, Spark, or Storm solutions.
  • Experience with analytic solutions applied to enterprise Marketing or Risk needs.
  • Basic understanding of machine learning fundamentals.
  • 5+ years of IT platform implementation experience.
  • Experience with relevant tools such as Flink, Spark, Sqoop, Flume, Kafka, or Amazon Kinesis.
  • Experience developing software in one or more programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Current hands-on implementation experience.
  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or Math (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience working on large-scale data science or data analytics projects.
  • Ability to lead effectively across organizations.
  • Hands-on experience with data analytics technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Spark SQL, MLlib, Storm, or Samza.
  • Experience implementing AWS services in distributed computing or enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency in at least one language such as C++, Java, Scala, or Python.
  • Experience with modern distributed machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, MxNet, Caffe, or Keras.
  • Experience building large-scale machine-learning infrastructure delivered to customers.
  • Experience defining system architectures and evaluating technical trade-offs.
  • 3+ years of experience developing cloud software services with attention to scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Experience working on a code base with many contributors.
  • Ability to prototype and evaluate applications and interaction methodologies.
  • Experience with the AWS technology stack.
  • Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
