Description

  • Write, test, debug, document, and deploy new and modified GDS scripts and code.
  • Build, modify, simplify, and maintain scripting packages in the GDS environment.
  • Gather business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into functional statements of work.
  • Research and resolve internal and external client inquiries about product functionality and issues.
  • Recommend improvements to automation features, operational processes, and standardization efforts.
  • Develop and maintain workflow process maps for current and future scripting phases.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and specifications.
  • Monitor processes for performance issues and respond to errors and emergency problems.
  • Prepare documentation, lead or participate in meetings, and deliver regular progress reports to leadership.
  • Provide first-level support for travel technology systems, including password resets, mid-office support, and list updates.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of Worldspan and Travelport Plus.
  • Programming skills on platforms that integrate with multiple GDS systems are preferred.
  • Knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and complete deliverables on time with a high level of quality.
  • Self-starter with initiative to identify opportunities proactively.
  • Travel knowledge is required.
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork mindset.
  • Ability to travel for projects or team meetings.
  • Compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
