Description

  • Triage and respond to incoming supporter inquiries via email and phone with a customer service mindset.
  • Cover overflow phone support during peak times to ensure timely response to supporters.
  • Work cross-functionally with the Supporter Experience team and other departments to resolve supporter issues and drive them to resolution.
  • Respond to common email inquiries from supporters and escalate complex cases as needed.
  • Review the Donor Journey, identify needed updates, and suggest improvements to enhance supporter experience.
  • Update marketing collateral for fundraisers, school groups, and Water Walk participants.
  • Review and recommend updates for the charity: water kids page.
  • Create a “Get Started” packet to be emailed to new fundraisers and support onboarding materials.
  • Assist with handwritten cards and other personal outreach efforts to supporters and help with daily team responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Availability for an 8-week commitment between May and August 2026, approximately 20 hours per week (remote, U.S. only).
  • Passion for customer service, problem-solving, and building meaningful relationships.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency using Mac products and Google applications.
  • Experience with customer service and management tools (Zendesk, Dialpad, and/or Salesforce) is a plus.
  • Experience with marketing tools/platforms (Sprout Social, Contentful, Iterable) is a plus.
  • Experience managing social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok is a plus.

Benefits

  • Hourly wage: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour (paid internship).
  • Remote work (U.S. only) with a part-time schedule (~20 hours/week) for an 8-week term between May–August 2026.
  • Direct mentorship and reporting to the Supporter Experience Manager and hands-on experience with fundraising and donor outreach.
  • Opportunity to lead a unique project to support charity: water fundraisers or school groups and build practical marketing/customer-service experience.
