Description

  • Own the architecture and technical direction for .NET ecosystem infrastructure.
  • Design and maintain automation for building, validating, updating, and publishing .NET artifacts and NuGet packages.
  • Build internal developer tools such as MSBuild tasks, NuGet tooling, CLIs, and code generators.
  • Integrate with dotnet projects, NuGet, and artifact repositories to resolve dependency and versioning issues at scale.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to shape the .NET libraries roadmap and deliver business outcomes.
  • Mentor and unblock other engineers through design reviews, documentation, and debugging support.
  • Partner with Platform, Delivery, Sustaining, and Security teams to meet reliability and security expectations.
  • Improve secure build, test, and distribution workflows for .NET libraries and SDKs.
  • Support vulnerability scanning, remediation, SBOM generation, and provenance for released artifacts.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in the .NET ecosystem on build systems, packaging, or developer tooling.
  • Proven experience with MSBuild extensions, NuGet tooling, CI/CD automation, or internal .NET frameworks/tools.
  • Deep familiarity with building, publishing, and consuming .NET projects, including multi-project builds, dependency graphs, and registry publishing.
  • Strong experience working in large codebases or monorepos and resolving dependency and build failures in production.
  • Proficiency in Go for build orchestration tooling, CLIs, and automation.
  • Experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code.
  • Ability to debug toolchain, compiler, and packaging issues at scale.
  • Experience with cloud-native environments, including Docker/OCI, Kubernetes, public cloud (GCP, AWS, or Azure), and modern CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, Argo, or Tekton.
  • Background in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering with experience at the intersection of build systems and production reliability.
  • Excellent communication skills in a remote, distributed environment and experience collaborating across product, infrastructure, and security teams.
  • Staff-level ownership mindset with the ability to define direction and own critical outcomes.
  • Systems-thinking mindset and comfort reviewing and validating software produced through AI-assisted workflows.
  • Open source contributions in the .NET ecosystem, libraries, build tools, packaging, or related infrastructure (preferred).
  • Experience building and distributing widely used libraries, SDKs, or runtimes (preferred).
  • Familiarity with software supply chain security concepts such as SLSA, SBOMs, sigstore, provenance, and attestations (preferred).
  • Exposure to Linux distribution and packaging ecosystems or reproducible build systems such as Alpine, Wolfi, Debian, Bazel, or Nix (preferred).
